Aussie big man Thon Maker has requested a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The former lottery pick has struggled for playing time under new coach Mike Budenholzer this season, averaging 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 11.7 minutes but has received thee DNP’s since January 1.

It is understood that Maker’s management requested the Bucks find a suitable trade partner to provide him with a larger role, meaning Milwaukee have until the February 8 (AEST) trade deadline.

Despite getting less court time, the South-Sudanese product is posting 14.4 points and 8.4 rebound per 36 minutes, also increasing his Player Efficiency Rating from 10.2 to 13.1.
