Former UFC women's champion Ronda Rousey is facing a long road to recovery after her defeat at the hands of Holly Holm.

Rousey will be forced to have a lengthy spell on the sidelines from UFC and has revealed in an interview with ESPN Magazine, that she is still struggling to eat following her bruising defeat.

"It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact," Rousey said.

The previously undefeated Rousey said that she is still planning on reclaiming her crown.

“Maybe I can’t do it all before my prime, before my body is done,” Rousey said.

“But f*** it, maybe I can.”
