Ben Simmons only has the highest praise for his new teammate Jimmy Butler after his three-pointer won the game for Philadelphia with just 0.3 seconds on the clock.

Butler was brought into the 76ers side to provide defensive as well as offensive pressure and has so far delivered for Philadelphia, linking well with Simmons throughout the court.

His brilliance was again on display against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, first blocking Kemba Walker's shot at one end - who was huge for Charlotte with 60 points - and then securing a 122-119 victory for Philadelphia with his clutch three pointer.

"I was just happy he made the shot," Simmons told NBA Australia post-game.

"I'm glad we've got a guy like him on our team. He's a great leader out there, he's always a positive guy on the floor, so I'm glad we got him.

“I'm always looking for him when he's running, especially in transition. He's one of those guys that can get up and finish, so whenever I get the ball off a rebound I'm looking at him.”
