The NBA trade window is open and it has kicked-off with a bang as Oklahoma veteran Chris Paul has been traded to Phoenix in exchange for a monster trade package.

ESPN broke the news that Paul would move to the Suns with Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre Jnr, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round selection, with Abdel Nader also moving to Phoenix.

Paul is set to add an unparalleled amount of experience and basketball IQ to a young Suns roster, fronted by Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.

The former Hornets, Clippers and Rockets guard averaged over 17 points and six assists last season, earning him an All-Star selection.

For OKC, they shed plenty of salary weight with Paul's monster contract and add and 18th first-round selection to their draft hand spanning until 2026.

In other news, Detroit and Brooklyn landed a deal to see guard Bruce Brown head to the Nets in exchange for forward Dzanan Musa and a 2021 second-round selection.

New Orleans guard Jrue Holiday looks set to leave the Pelicans in a move to Milwaukee.

A deal would see Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and "significant" draft compensation head to New Orleans.
